Q.What do I need to bring along to my initial consultation?

Please bring the following items to your appointment, where applicable: referral letter, Medicare card, concession card, current medication list and any relevant, recent test results.

Q.Where is the Ageing Balance Clinic?

Ageing Balance operates out of two convenient locations based in Brisbane. One at the ‘Brisbane Cardiology Clinic‘ in Woolloongabba for South Brisbane-based patients; and the other at’ Our Family Health Care’ clinic in Clayfield for North Brisbane-based patients.

Q.Where is the Brisbane Cardiology Clinic located?

‘Brisbane Cardiology’ is located opposite the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital, and next to the Buranda Shopping Centre. Our suite can be found on the first-floor executive suites of the PA Parking complex. Access to the clinic can be granted using the steps on Tottenham Street, or the steps/elevator from Ipswich Road.

Q.Parking at Brisbane Cardiology Clinic?

There is parking available within the PA Parking complex, as well as metered street parking on Tottenham and Wolseley Streets. Disabled Parking is available on Level 2 of the PA Parking complex.

Q.Where is Our Family Health Care located?

‘Our Family Health Care’ is located on the first floor of the College Junction Facility (Level 1, 695 Sandgate Rd, Clayfield), just opposite Delta Gymnastics. The building can be identified by Qscan, Smartclinics, and Smartrite Pharmacy (located on the ground floor). Walk past Smartclinics and Qscan to the elevators (located next to Qscan down the hallway).  Go up to Level 1, and walk out towards Wagner Rd. The clinic is on the left.

Q.Parking at Our Family Health Care?

At Our Family Health Care you are able to park under the College Junction building. Once validated, your parking ticket will allow you up to two hours free parking. There is also free parking available on the street. However, spots on the street can be hard to find around school drop off and pick up hours.

Q.Do I require a referral to book a consultation with Ageing Balance?

No referral is required for private patients. However, a GP referral is required for: Medicare bulk billing for Chronic Disease Management Plan (EPC), WorkCover and Department of Veteran Affairs.

Q.How long does each appointment take?

Initial appointments are 45 minutes, subsequent / returning appointments are 30 minutes

Q.What clothes should I wear for my physio appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow us to easily see the skin, joints and muscles around your injury.

Q.What if I can't make an appointment?

If you are unable to make a consultation or exercise session please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
