How do I make an appointment?

How long does each appointment take?

The initial consultation is 60 minutes.  Follow up appointments are around 45 mins.

Do I require a referral?

No referral is required for private patients. However, a GP referral is required for chronic disease management (EPC) plans, Work Cover, and Department of Veteran Affairs.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring the following items to your appointment, where applicable: referral letter, Medicare card, concession card, current medication list and any relevant, recent test results.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing where possible.  Your Ageing Balance practitioner will provide you with more information prior to your appoinment

What if I can't make an appointment?

If you are unable to make an appointment, please contact us on 07 3152 8265 at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, we will discuss your treatment plan moving forward.

I am an NDIS participant.  Am I able to use my NDIS funding at Ageing Balance?

Absolutely. Ageing Balance health care services are available for self-managed NDIS participants and plan managed NDIS participants.

How qualified is the Ageing Balance team?

We are university trained experts in a wide range of disciplines including:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Personal training
  • Exercise physiology
  • Remedial massage
  • Psychology
  • Community rehabilitation assistance
  • Counselling
  • Mindfulness training
  • Occupational therapy

Our Clayfield Clinic

Where is the Clayfield Clinic located?

We are located within Our Family Health Care.   Our Family Health Care is located on the first floor of the College Junction building, 695 Sandgate Rd, Clayfield, just opposite Delta Gymnastics. The building can be identified by Qscan, Smartclinics, and Smartrite Pharmacy. Walk past Smartclinics and Qscan to the elevators (located next to Qscan down the hallway). Go up to Level 1, and walk out towards Wagner Road. You will see Our Family Health Care on the left.

Parking at Our Family Health Care?

You are able to park under the College Junction building. Once validated, your parking ticket will allow you up to two hours free parking. There is also free parking available on the street. However, spots on the street can be hard to find around school drop off and pick up hours.

Our Woolloongabba Clinic

Where is the Woolloongabba Clinic located?

We are located within the Brisbane Cardiology Clinic.  The Brisbane Cardiology Clinic is located opposite the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital, and next to the Buranda Shopping Centre. Our suite can be found on the first-floor executive suites of the PA Parking complex.  You can access the clinic using the steps on Tottenham Street, or the steps/elevator from Ipswich Road.

Parking at Brisbane Cardiology Clinic?

There is parking available within the PA Parking complex, as well as metered street parking on Tottenham and Wolseley Streets. Disabled Parking is available on Level 2 of the PA Parking complex.
